About OfficeWright

A small software company in Naples, Florida, that makes the tools an office runs on.

The name

A wright is a maker. A shipwright builds ships; a wheelwright builds wheels. The word is older than the word engineer, and it means something more specific: a person who makes a working thing, by hand, for a particular use.

OfficeWright makes the software that runs your office. Not software in general, and not software for everyone. Yours.

The founder

Christopher Cheek is a builder with two decades of experience designing systems for small businesses. He started OfficeWright to build the tools he kept wishing those businesses already had.

The approach

We work in three steps, and we do them in order.

  1. Listen

A recorded conversation in your own words, so nothing is lost in translation. We lock the scope the same day.

  2. Build

A working version in days, not months. Everything is reviewed by a second set of eyes before it ships.

  3. Keep

We maintain what we build. A fix for one customer ships to everyone on the same engine.

A few things we hold to along the way:

  • Plain English, in the product and in every conversation about it.
  • Small and specific beats large and general. One process, done well.
  • You can own what we build, including the data, on your own cloud tenant or hardware if you want it there.
  • Nothing ships without a second set of eyes on it.
